I am thrilled to be celebrating the release of Sarah Ballance’s sexy new Indulgence novel, THE MILLIONAIRE’S GAMBLE! I’ve got all of the details about this fantastic new read, including a sneak peek excerpt, so read on and enjoy!
About THE MILLIONAIRE’S GAMBLE:
Wealth has a price. Everyone wants something from you. For one woman, that something was my DNA. One minute, she was kissing me like we were going to strip it down and go
at it. And the next, she was ripping out my hair for a paternity test—and threatening to torpedo my latest deal. I don’t play these kind of games. And that damnably sexy woman with the alluring eyes and mistaken agenda is about to learn that the hard way…
Millionaire scion Jagger Hamilton didn’t father Kennedy Price’s nephew. That doesn’t mean he can’t use the situation to his advantage. She wants him to take a paternity test. He wants her in his bed.
She’s blackmailing him, and she’s playing dirty. He could try to use the famous Hamilton charm to turn her into a powerful ally… But she makes him feel… Way. Too. Much.
Kennedy Price isn’t asking much. Just for the powerful, sinfully hot, and notorious playboy to be a decent human being. But he’s used to using that filthy, sensual mouth for getting what he wants.
And he wants her.
She’s determined not to fall for him. But there’s no avoiding his charisma, or his bed, where she threatens to lose more than the standoff between them. She just might lose her heart.

I loved this book! In the past year, I’ve become such a fan of Sarah Ballance’s work, and The Millionaire’s Gamble once again showed me the reason why. Her gift of balancing both intensity and humor is one of the things I love most about her writing. Her characters are always unique and well-layered, and her stories always compelling and entertaining.
In The Millionaire’s Gamble, Kennedy Price is on a quest to get Jagger Hamilton’s DNA for a blood test to prove he’s the father of her sister’s baby. And yet, things don’t go as smoothly as she hoped they might. Because she wasn’t counting on being so taken with the man, of being so captivated and seduced. Not that she makes it easy for Jagger to seduce her, or to get to know her, either.
The enemies to lovers trope is one of my all time favorites to read because it holds such a great dynamic for the characters, and so much potential for their interactions. Ballance took a classic trope and made it her own in this book, creating a delightful story about two unlikely people caught up in the circumstances they’ve somehow created for themselves. It’s very much a story about choices, about making assumptions and judgments, about being able to trust one’s own instincts, and learning to see the world through a different set of eyes.
If you’re looking for a well-written, well-characterized, contemporary romance with angst, humor, passion, and a story capable of carrying you away for a while, check out The Millionaire’s Gamble by Sarah Ballance. It’s a fantastic read, and perfect for anyone looking for a little romance and a little escape.
*Excellent romance read! Highly recommend!*
Excerpt from THE MILLIONAIRE’S GAMBLE:
No fake porn star screams out of this one. No canned moans. Just deep pleasure that reverberated through Jagger, but nothing so much as the moment Kennedy clutched his hair and dragged him from that place of utter salvation to one of devastation. He landed on top of her in that reclined leather seat, nestled between her thighs, her body an inferno. And fuck if she didn’t set fire to him. The circumstances couldn’t have been more completely wrong, but he wanted her. Hard. And right then. No woman had ever brought him to his knees before—certainly not literally, and especially not one determined to destroy his investment. He’d lost count of the number of professional rivalries he’d crushed, but never once had that involved sticking his tongue where it didn’t belong.
“This is so wrong,” she managed to say. And that was all she managed, because then he was kissing her, and it blew the one from the casino out of the water. As deep and probing and sexy as that had been, right there on the dance floor for all the world to see, this one was annihilation. She tasted sweet, and the incredible feel of her drawing him in fueled something tender, something latticed with hard edges that promised sex with her wouldn’t be anything he’d soon forget. She didn’t wait for him to find her, to sweep her mouth and beg for kisses. She met him, unapologetically, leaving him fighting an unholy battle against the urge to drive into her until they both splintered.
But he didn’t lose.
And he didn’t splinter.
She was his until this deal closed, his way. A means to an end. The result of an unfortunate attempt to blackmail him that he’d twisted and fucking owned. But dammit, she was a woman who fought and didn’t care that his name alone made it impossible for her to win.
She might know his identity, but she’d clearly underestimated his power.
Or he hers.
Because she had managed to wrap her legs around his back, and all that smooth skin was wasted on his pants. Being almost there, almost a part of that heat, killed him. Having touched and tasted her so intimately, he shouldn’t have felt like something was missing, but it was. He wanted to tear off her shirt and watch her nipples tighten, begging for the heat of his mouth. He wanted to softly whisper something lecherous against the tender hollow of her ear, then make good on every bit of that filthy promise. He wanted the rage she’d carried for him to play out with breathtaking fury between the sheets.
For the first time, he wanted a woman who didn’t care who he was. He was nothing to her, and he found a certain dirty thrill in that. He made damn sure she knew it, too, as he deepened the kiss that never should have happened and melted into her. If he didn’t come in his pants, he’d be hard for days. She was so soft. So right.
So. Damn. Wrong.
